How to Measure
Accurate sizes are the secret to a perfect fit. It takes two minutes — here’s how.
1. Use a steel tape measure
Cloth tapes stretch. Measure to the nearest 1/16″ — our designer accepts sixteenths.
2. Measure three times, use the smallest
Walls and frames are rarely square. Measure width at the top, middle and bottom, and height at left, center and right. Use the smallest number of each.
3. Leave room to fit
- Framed openings (cabinets, windows, picture frames): deduct 1/8″ from width and height.
- Table tops: decide on overhang — flush, or ½″–1″ smaller to show the wood edge.
- Wall mirrors between walls: deduct 1/4″ so the glass slides in without pinching.
- Round glass: measure the diameter across the center at two angles.
4. Unusual shape? Send a template
Trace the shape on kraft paper, write “TOP / FRONT” on it and request a quote. We cut directly from your template.
Every order is double-checked: before cutting, a specialist reviews your measurements and contacts you if anything looks off.
